About the Training:

EFT Core Skills Training is a set of four, two-day workshops that offer an in-depth opportunity to develop the core skills essential to the practice of EFT. In the overall context of the EFT Tango, each 2-day session is dedicated to specific steps of the model and the therapeutic tasks and interventions characteristic of those steps. The first two days cover Stage One of EFT (steps one and two), the second two days cover Stage One of EFT (steps three and four), the third two days cover Stage Two of EFT (steps five, six, and seven for the withdrawer), and the final two days cover Stage Two of EFT (steps five, six, and seven for the pursuer).

There will be opportunity for participants to get feedback on a video of their own work with clients. Bringing your own video to view is necessary to meet the Advanced Externship requirement of certification.

*The scope of this training primarily focuses on couples' work, discussing the unique complexities and challenges in these dynamics. However, the interventions and theoretical framework can also be applied in family and individual sessions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define EFT Stage 2, Steps 5-7 working with Pursuer softening

  • Identify the Pursuer's disowned attachment needs and fears and view of self and other - Step 5

  • Assist the Pursuer expressing their attachment needs and fears - Step 5

  • Initiate acceptance of the Pursuer's experiences by the Withdrawer - Step 6

  • Initiate Pursuer requesting emotional engagement and organizing bonding events that redefine the attachment between the partners - Step 7
